In our Gymnastics classes, We offer gymnastics instruction for every age group, from pre-scholars to high-school and adult students. And our nationally certified, professional staff members work to make sure each student’s gymnastics experience is a fun and rewarding one. Gymnastics is a sport that includes physical exercises requiring balance, strength, flexibility, agility, coordination, and endurance. The movements involved in gymnastics contribute to the development of the arms, legs, shoulders, back, chest, and abdominal muscle groups. Apart from the physical and developmental benefits, doing gymnastics is fun, social, and incredibly rewarding. Gymnastics is all about teaching children the fundamental movement skills they need to lead a physically active and healthy life full of sport and recreation.
All children benefit from classes and participation in gymnastics at our studio. The areas listed below are some of the life skills and physical benefits that gymnastics activities provide. First, we would like to say that you have done a terrific job of parenting by getting your child interested in this educational sport. Many of the benefits of gymnastics are not related to learning handstands and cartwheels, although they are a plus. The major benefits of gymnastics are in the more important developmental areas that will help your child become a better student and young adult. Gymnastics training programs are not solely about creating gymnasts; At Knockout gymnastics training center, we are teaching kids how to become well-rounded adults. All children, regardless of ability, should stay in gymnastics for 3-5 years, if not longer, to get the full benefit of its teachings.
Our Knockout gymnastics classes teach young children to try and try again to achieve even the simplest of skills. Gymnastics encourages kids to “have a go” and to keep “having a go” until they master the skill or activity. The joy of trying, learning, and (eventually) being rewarded for effort is at the heart of persistence. Listening skills, being mindful of others, and demonstrating patience is just a few examples of self-disciplinary behaviors nurtured with great care in gymnastics classes. All of our classes are designed to train children not only in physical skills, like coordination, strength, and flexibility, but to help children grow in self-confidence and social skills as well. In our Studio, we love to watch children grow. Throughout our 10 years of training students in gymnastics, we have helped a whole generation grow up strong. As kids progress through our classes and programs, we see their flexibility, body awareness, and fitness increase. What’s even more important is that parents are thrilled as they watch their children grow in Self-esteem, Confidence, and Character.
In our gymnastics classes, adult gymnasts learn how to ask for help from their coach and their classmates – and to offer help in return. Solving movement puzzles, learning new skills, or trying something you are a little afraid of, are best achieved when working together. Gymnastics allows adults to express themselves creatively through movement. It helps build self-morale, determination, and better communication skills. It also improves the quality of sleep, fights depression, and aids weight loss in the most effective way. Participating in gymnastics from a younger age is important. It targets all muscle groups for total-body strength and flexibility.
Handstand - The handstand is arguably the single most important skill and position in the sport. It’s the building block for essential skills for each of the four events. Being able to do a perfect handstand is one skill you should learn to master.Splits - Mastering your side and middle splits will help you execute other skills that use that same shape as well. And your splits are easy to practice at home. The split “shape” is everywhere in gymnastics — split leaps, jumps, switch leaps, in the middle of back walkovers, etc. Handspring on Vault - The handspring on the vault is the basic skill that all upper-level vaults are based on. It will be hard to succeed in twisting vaults if you haven’t figured out the mechanics of the handspring vault. Back Handspring - A back handspring is an important gymnastics skill to master because it is the basic skill used in back tumbling on the floor and beam. Round-Off - A roundoff is just as important as a back handspring to master tumbling on the floor. The roundoff gives power just like the back handspring does to the tumbling pass. Split Leap - The split leap is another skill that is required in every floor and beam routine level 4-To have a perfect split leap you want to be able to do your perfect split position in the air as high as you can off the ground. Cartwheel - A cartwheel block is most useful for young gymnasts learning to do a cartwheel because it offers a platform they can place their hands on, with markers showing the hand positions.
